Health spot of VIZE 97 on Czech Television
Even this year, the VIZE 97 Foundation succeeded in persuading the Czech TV that the Foundation’s health spot be broadcast on Czech TV channels. The spot focuses on one of the Foundation’s main health projects, i.e. the “Timely Diagnosis and Prevention of Large Intestine and Rectal Cancer”. Viewers of the public television will thus be kept informed on the possibility of a free faecal occult blood test for all people above the age of fifty. This way, the VIZE 97 Foundation continues its longstanding efforts to make the general public aware of this serious, tumorous disease, which is successfully treated in most cases if detected early enough.
The health spot, directed by Jan Hřebejk, one of the most distinct and most successful Czech directors of the present, has already been broadcast on Czech TV channels a couple of times. However, since the footage had to be shortened from thirty to twenty seconds due to new parameters set, the current version of the spot has been slightly modified, particularly with respect to editing. The spot features Dagmar Havlová, Marta Kubišová, Ivana Chýlková, Jiří Suchý, Jiří Bartoška, Oldřich Kaiser, and COL. Prof. MD. Miroslav Zavoral, Ph.D., Manager at the Central Military Hospital and member of the VIZE 97’s Health Project. All creators and performers assumed their respective roles at no fee.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Czech Television for being an important partner of the Foundation in promoting prevention of bowel and rectal cancer already for many years.
