Each year, on 5 October, V\u00e1clav Havel’s birthday, the VIZE 97 Foundation awards its international prize. The 2017 laureate was the eminent American physicist and university professor Nathaniel David Mermin<\/strong>.\u00a0Nathaniel David Mermin received a traditional artefact\u00a0Saint Adalbert\u2019s Crozier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before the formal presentation of the Prize a public debate was held<\/strong> at the Prague Crossroads with the laureate and other distinguished guests.
