Prague Crossroads hosted on 5th October 2009 already traditional press conference on the occasion of the VIZE 97 Prize ceremony. The Prize is annually dispensed by the Dagmar and V\u00e1clav Havel Foundation. This year\u00b4s, already eleventh in row, laureate is a distinguished Czech geologist, climatologist, writer, philosopher, translator and populariser of science Mr. V\u00e1clav C\u00edlek. Mr. C\u00edlek is at the moment the Director of the Institute of Geology at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. In the press conference participated also President V\u00e1clav Havel who presented to media not only the Prize winner but also the whole concept of VIZE 97 Prize and the sense of the Prize giving. Another guest to the press conference was Mr. Ivan M. Havel and the host at the conference Ms. Mark\u00e9ta Kuklov\u00e1.<\/p>\n
