Today Dagmar Havlov\u00e1 received a historical recording from the hands of the Director General of Czech Radio Peter Duhan, of V\u00e1clav Havel and Jan T\u0159\u00edska commenting the dramatic events of August 1968. The unique recording, rightfully referred to as the radio discovery of the year, was handed over by the Director General of Czech Radio at the seat of the Dagmar and V\u00e1clav Havel Foundation Vize 97.<\/p>\n
The noteworthy, more than thirty-six hour recording broadcasted by the Liberec studio of the Czechoslovak Radio of August 1968 involving actor Jan T\u0159\u00edska and playwright V\u00e1clav Havel, considered lost for years, was offered to the radio station 45 years later by the son of Liberec listener Vladim\u00edr Beran.<\/p>\n
\u201dThis discovery confirms what we all know, what both persons involved often remembered, but no one heard since 1968,\u201d explains editor of Czech Radio Tom\u00e1\u0161 \u010cern\u00fd. \u201cSuddenly we know exactly what exactly Jan T\u0159\u00edska reported in Liberec and we are finding that it was not just the texts of V\u00e1clav Havel, as was always believed\u2026,\u201d points out Tom\u00e1\u0161 \u010cern\u00fd.<\/p>\n
Apart from digitalization of the recording, Czech Radio has also included a part of the recording in the document \u201cWe are with you, be with us!\u201d to the 45th anniversary of the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia.
