Foundation Vize 97 Award at the Golden Prague International Television Festival
The gala closing ceremony of the 49th Annual Golden Prague International Television Festival was held at the Žofín Palace on Wednesday, 17 October 2012. The Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97, which traditionally awards its award to one of the films in the competition, this time awarded the film “Giuseppe Scarlatti: Where there is love, there is jealousy”, directed by Ondřej Havelka. The prize was awarded for the splendid popularisation of a Baroque work from the Český Krumlov archives, while respecting all the rules and principles typical for Baroque theatre, but mainly for the fun and imaginative presentation of the story, both in the actual theatrical version on the stage of the Český Krumlov baroque theatre, as well as the careful and visually interesting audio-visual recording.
Mr Jiří Hubač, received the Award and a symbolic check in the amount of CZK 30,000, from Mrs Dagmar Havlová, the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation VIZE 97. This amount, traditionally given by the Foundation VIZE 97 to the winner, is meant to help artists in their future endeavours and is also supposed to provide moral support to television and film art.
