Hans-Dietrich Genscher lectured at the Prague Crossroads
30th September 2009, precisely twenty years after his famous speech to the refugees from East Germany at the German Embassy in Prague Hans-Dietrich Genscher, now former Foreign Minister and Honorary Chairman of the FDP, returned back to Prague. In the church of St. Anna in the frame of the lecture organized by the Foundation Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit Mr. Genscher delivered a speech in which he emphasized the need for responsibility in global politics and appealed to all countries in the world to build a new system of worldwide cooperation. During the event spoke also Mr. Genscher´s then Czechoslovak counterpart Mr. Jiri Dienstbier and participated the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg and many other representatives from politics, economy and culture.
