Relax for Hospitals
Relax for Hospitals: Thank You and Support for Healthcare Workers
The VIZE 97 Foundation, in collaboration with Lafuma NÁBYTEK s.r.o., is launching a new project called Relax in Hospitals. The goal is to make the demanding work of healthcare workers easier and to thank them for their dedication. As part of the project, we aim to donate Lafuma MOBILIER chairs to hospitals and care facilities, which provide an optimal relaxation position – Zero Gravity.
What is Zero Gravity? Zero Gravity is a position that the human body naturally takes in a weightless state, with the legs slightly above the level of the heart. This position was named by NASA in the 1970s. In reality, the body still feels its own weight, but the feeling of gravity is 7 times less, as if the body is floating on water. In this position, blood circulation improves, breathing deepens, and the spine and muscles relax. Even after a short time in the Zero Gravity position, a tired body starts to recover.
Lafuma MOBILIER Chairs: Professional Furniture for Healthcare Workers and Patients
The chairs we want to donate were developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals and are adapted for special use in hospitals and care facilities. These include the OXYGÉNE (fully padded) and VITAL chairs, which are widely used, for example, in neonatology for skin-to-skin practice, but primarily for the rest of the caring staff and visitors. Many professional reflexologists prefer them over massage tables for their unparalleled comfort. The chairs can be locked in any position and have a fully waterproof 4 cm attachable mattress, an adjustable and detachable padded headrest, an ergonomic backrest, and fixed armrests. The chairs are designed for high-load operations, are easy to clean, and resistant to bacteria and fire.
VIZE 97 Foundation: Continuing Good Practice in Europe
With our Relax in Hospitals project, we join the initiative carried out by the French Hospitals Foundation in France during the Covid-19 pandemic to help caregivers during countless demanding shifts. Lafuma MOBILIER SAS, which is strongly established in Europe, also responded to the situation with our European neighbors. In addition to many French hospitals, these chairs were received by the University Hospital Saint-Pierre in Brussels (Belgium), Lucerne Hospital (Switzerland), four hospitals in Lombardy (Italy), and hospitals in Saarland (Germany).
Lafuma NÁBYTEK s.r.o.is the exclusive representative for CZ/SK for the leading European manufacturer of outdoor and relaxation furniture for both home and professional use, Lafuma MOBILIER SAS.
Project Progress:
On July 31, 2024, the delivery of chairs to the University Hospital in Motol took place with the participation of the head of the Internal Medicine Clinic, Prof. MUDr. Radan Keil, Ph.D. They are intended for the staff of the Internal Medicine Clinic, who are burdened by exhausting operations in operating rooms. We firmly believe it will help them regain strength during demanding shifts.
The Relax in Hospitals project continued on September 25, with the handover of an Oxygen chair to the Apolinář Maternity Hospital. The intermediate care department for newborns will use it for mothers and fathers who will be able to spend time comfortably with their premature babies during kangaroo care and bonding.
The Mother and Child Care Institute in Podolí also received two chairs from the VIZE 97 Foundation, which will be used in the gynecology department in operating rooms for staff, and the second will serve parents during kangaroo care and bonding with newborns.
On October 23, 2024, Lafuma Nábytek representatives handed over chairs as part of the Relax in Hospitals project to the gynecology and neonatology department of Bulovka University Hospital. They will serve mothers and fathers for their rest and relaxation with newly born babies.
On December 18, 2024, Havlíčkův Brod Hospice received a VITAL chair for its staff, who care for sick seniors during long shifts. This chair will allow them to regain strength quickly and continue with the much-needed, meritorious, and never-ending care for others.
