Saint Nicholas Day Charity Bazaar full of experiences in Prague Crossroads
In Prague Crossroads took place for the fifth time the traditional Saint Nicholas Day Charity Bazaar which is annually organized by the Dagmar and Vaclav Havel Foundation VIZE 97. This year´s Bazaar was visited by hundreds of people. Those who visited, on Saturday, December 5 2009 the premises of the former church of St. Anna, could buy all sorts of gifts from protected workshops and contribute to the individual (this year you had already twelve possibilities) non-profit organization. Children’s corners were prepared for children, where they could paint Christmas pictures or decorate gingerbread and as a reward they were given various goodies from the partner of the event – Ferrero Czech Republic. The event was, like every year, attended by Mrs Dagmar Havlova and also Mr. President Vaclav Havel came to see. To the increased sales at the booth of the Foundation VIZE 97 contributed largely Mrs Katerina Hrachovcova-Hercikova. Truly as the highlight of the late afternoon could be designated the performance of the so called Immediate Film Orchestra undert the baton of Mr. Organ Orchestrovic Bauer, who played a series of unconventional themed carols, and thus managed to conjure up a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. For children was of course the culmination the visit of Saint Nicholas traditionally together with his suite (Angel and Devil) who were handing out small treats for a song or poem.
