Strings of Autumn at the Prague Crossroads

A prolonged applause accompanied the concert of the German violinist Julia Fischer that was held at the Prague Crossroads within the Strings of Autumn Festival on Saturday 16 October. Enthusiastic audience filled up all premises of the church, including the stairs leading to the balcony, and listened to twenty seven years old winner of several international competitions and awards such as Gramophone Award 2007, ECHO Klassik 2007 who offered, accompanied by the respected Ukrainian pianist Milana Cernyjavska, sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven, Eugene Ysaye, and Cesar Franck.

Julia Fischer is the youngest violin professor in Germany – she works at the Academy of Performing Arts in Frankfurt.
