11th Anniversary of the Dagmar a Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97
The Dagmar a Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 celebrated its 11th birthday.
The Foundation was established by Mrs. Dagmar Havlová on the first summer day of 1997. Since then, the Foundation has completed several large and significant projects, such as the passage through the rampart of the Powder Bridge, which connects the upper and lower parts of the Deer Moat, a footbridge across Chotkova Street, humanitarian relief to areas affected by floods, support to Chechen children and support to Mammahelp centres through A Crown for a Woman – A Crown for Health project.
However, the Foundation is also engaged in numerous long-term programmes. Some of them include the restoration of the multi-cultural spiritual centre Prague Crossroads, social programme the Fund of Understanding, support to children as part of Education, a campaign increasing the awareness of the Early Diagnosis and Prevention of Colon and Rectal Cancer, as well as handing out the VIZE 97 Foundation Prize and associating not-for-profit organisations at the Nicholas Charity Bazaar.
We are engaged in lots of projects and activities, indeed. However, none of them could be carried out without support from our sponsors. We hereby thank all who have supported us over the past ten years. We thank all Members of Boards and all volunteers. Any support is a great motivation for us to continue our charity work. Hence we look forward to further cooperation within the upcoming, eleventh year of the existence of the Dagmar a Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97.
