DVD It’s here at last for sale!
Together with Czech Television, the Dagmar and Václav Havel VIZE 97 Foundation have released the DVD “It’s here at last”, which you can order for 249 CZK here.
The recording was created from the concert attended by several important persons of cultural and social life that took place in the Prague Crossroads on 14.11.2009, organised and held on the initiative of President Václav Havel for the twentieth anniversary of political changes in Czechoslovakia and the fall of the iron curtain. The undertone of the grand event with a touch of underground is balancing the twenty-year duration of democratic politics – also through music, which played a large role in the pre-November era and inseparably belongs to it. The concert itself is a very rare, once in a lifetime moment.
The following persons performed at the concert: Joan Baez, Jiří Bělohlávek, Reneé Fleming, Lou Reed, Jiří Stivín, Suzanne Vega, the Prague Chamber Philharmonic and others. Other famous persons greeted the viewers from a video recording, such as Angela Merkel, Barack Obama, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Michael Gorbačov Mick Jagger and Bono Vox.
Apart from the VIZE 97 Foundation and Czech Television, the Václav Havel Library non-governmental and non-profit organisation, the FORUM 2000 Foundation and the company ABOUT PRODUCTION also contributed the preparation and realisation of the concert.
