Economist Sedláček elected as new chairman of the Supervisory Board of Foundation VIZE 97
On Wednesday 4 March 2015 a meeting of the Supervisory Board of Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 was held in its office. The Board had a new composition: Ing. Michal Petrman, CSc., JUDr. David Plch and PhDr. Tomáš Sedláček.
To open the meeting a vote was taken to decide on the chair of the Supervisory Board, and the vote went to economist Tomáš Sedláček. He has been collaborating with the Foundation for some time on the Foundation VIZE 97 Prize project. Other important items were discussed concerning the economic aspects and the content of the Foundation.
Tomáš Sedláček graduated in Theoretical Economy in the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University, where he received the title PhDr. and the dean’s medal. He lectures on philosophy, economy and history of economic theories. For his dissertation on ethics and economy he received a Hlávka Award. In 2001-2003 he worked as economic adviser to President Václav Havel.
