Mrs Dagmar Havlová was honoured with the Prix Romantik Liebold on the Ceremony in St. Agnes Kloster in Prague on Sunday 21 April, 2013. The Prix Romantik Liebold, The Award for European Values and Virtues is awarded annually by Romantik Hotels & Restaurants to notable individuals whose thinking and acting is defined by European values and virtues. Friedwolf Liebold, Romantik hotelier for many years, visionary and trailblazer for the Romantik hotel cooperation, and board member of crucial organisations in the hotel service and restaurant industry, lends his name to the award and serves as an example.
Mrs. Havlová was awarded for her commitment and dedication to VIZE 97, which was founded by her and her husband as the “face” of the organization.
The reasons for the choice: “Dagmar Havlova is one of those personalities who can initiate changes and who accepts responsibility. She combines farsightedness with enthusiasm and a big heart with charisma. Together with her husband Vaclav Havel she founded VIZE 97 in 1997 and through her unstoppable commitment the foundation became one of the most outstanding organizations of her country. The diversified work of VIZE 97 mirrors Romantik: value-orientated, multifaceted, closely connected to the people and at the same time open to future trends and challenges.”
The speech in honour of the awardee was given by Prof. Dr. Ivan Havel.
