The conclusion of the Golden Prague Festival
The 46th Golden Prague International Television Festival took place once again at the Žofín Palace. This year, Dagmar and Václav Havel’s VIZE 97 Foundation again awarded one of the prizes, which was presented by the foundation’s chairwoman, Mrs Dagmar Havlová. The VIZE 97 Foundation’s prize went to the film “Magdalena” by the director Ondřej Havelka. This musical documentary presents a humorous and interesting picture of the opera singer, Magdalena Kožená. Dagmar Havlová congratulated the director and presented him with a symbolic cheque for 30,000 CZK. The amount, which the VIZE 97 Foundation traditionally provides, is intended to help artists in their subsequent work and to provide moral support to the television and film arts.
