The foundation VIZE 97 together with the network of pharmacies Dr.Max warn against colorectal cancer
During the week from 13th to 16th of May 2013, a national campaign takes place by the Foundation of Dagmar and Václav Havel VIZE 97 and pharmacies Dr. Max focused on the problems of the large intestine and rectum cancer. Several thousands of Czech citizens needlessly die from this dangerous illness every year. The aim of the campaign is to draw attention on its preventions and also on the possibilities of effective and timely diagnosis that takes place in the form of a simple test or a screening examination. Thanks to the efforts of Dagmar Havlová, every citizen over the age of 50 is entitled to a free of charge test, for any hidden blood in stool, which can be obtained from your general practitioner.
In this period, it is also possible to visit any Dr. Max pharmacy, where the interested ones can consult their questions, from 14. to 18 o’clock, with professionally trained employees or buy the test for the hidden bleeding for a discounted price up to 50,- CZK.
More information about this type of cancer and about the risk factors can be found on www.vize.cz in article from prof. Miroslav Zavoral in the “Cancer prevention” tab.
