Two Concerts by Lenka Dusilová in Prague Crossroads
One of the stars of this year’s Stings of Autumn International Music Festival was clearly Lenka Dusilová. In response to great public demand, she even performed twice in Prague Crossroads. At both concerts, held on 21 and 22 October 2008, she launched her new album Eternal Seekers, together with other performers that she had invited to work with her, namely piano player and composer Beata Hlavenková and the Clarinet Factory quartet.
Lenka Dusilová, the winner of several Angel music awards, reaches beyond any genre and, with her experimental perception of music, she is absolutely exceptional and one of a kind in the Czech music scene. At the Strings of Autumn, she definitely came up to these expectations. Lenka Dusilová’s vocal was accompanied by stunning performances of instrumentalists Jindřich Pavliš, Luděk Boura, Vojtěch Nýdl and Petr Valášek, as well as stratified piano tunes by Beata Hlavenková. This apparently incongruous group of six musicians very suggestively combined several styles and genres into one, and filled Prague Crossroads with unforgettable atmosphere.
