VIZE 97 Foundation Award was Handed at the Ceremonial Closing of the Golden Prague International Television Festival
President Václav Havel, founder of the VIZE 97 Foundation, took part in the award ceremony and ceremonial closing of the 45th International Television Music Festival GOLDEN PRAGUE. This year, just as every year, VIZE 97 picked one of the competing programmes to honour it with a special Award, which the Foundation has handed out since 2002. The Award includes a cheque for CZK 20,000 for the programme creator. President Havel handed this year’s symbolic cheque for the Czech TV documentary “Daria Klimentová, around the World en Pointe”. The Award was received by the film director and director of photography Martin Kubala. The documentary portrays one year of the life of Prima Ballerina of the English National Ballet, who graduated from the Dance Academy in Prague and later founded the successful Master Classic courses there. The programme spontaneously and very sensitively depicts the life of a great dancer and strong personality at work as well as in her private life.
